A reactfast opening?

Postby NKT » 26 Apr 2006 3:57

Now, I don't know the whole story here, but I believe the van was fitted with a lock, and possibly a door handle too. When the driver couldn't get in, he called out one of his Reactfast collegues, and they eventually got him in.

Of course, they then had to scrap the van...

trying too hard

Postby raimundo » 26 Apr 2006 10:18

those guys were trying too hard, on the van, the roof is the weak point, easy to cut a hole in, and on all those doors, the angle grinder should be used to slot vertically between the keyhole and the strike plate, across the boltworks. I don't have photos, but here in the states, there is the front of the pickup truck method, where a snowplow blade is useful for a push in or the back of the pickup method, where a chain is attached to the door and the door and possibly its frame are dragged away. Actually for quick and dirty openings, a ram could be fitted to the front of the truck. punch it right in the vicinity of the lock.

Somebody should call the number on the side of the van, and ask if they have any spare parts for a renault kangoo

Is the hole below the number 4 for the filler cap, or did they try drilling it?

Caption time!

"I only said to blow the bl**dy doors off! You've wrecked the petrol cap too!"

"Sorry, but it had a high security grill on the back, so I couldn't just smash the glass..."

"IWe can get into any van in just a few hours. Often even without the keys."
