I bet that she just wanted to check if the key was in on the other side, and when she realised that it was not - she called a lockie.
By the looks of that hole, perhaps she wanted to check the drawer next to the door too...

yeah yale would pay good money for such advertisement. they could say.

the lady now has a new front door (very nice - boyfriend fitted it, good job done as well) and i fitted a nice 2134E for her. Being American she is not used to how the 'silly bitty key' goes in properly, being only used to cylinder keys, and seems to be constantly fumbling about getting it in. She and boyfriend are adamant that they don't want another Yale. I can just see her one day fumbling about with the key so much that she flicks the curtain slightly on removing it, resulting in another lock-out as she wont get the key back in. Wonder how long she will try to gain entry before she calls me!

As an aside, it was a butter knife she used apparently rather than a dinner knife (and no, I have no idea where she got that either). She also told me that at one point during that night she was clawing her way along the outside, shuffling along an adjacent garage rooftop and trying to smash a side window with a brick. She threw it at the window and it bounced off, flying past her head and smashing on the concrete below. She didnt try that again!
