easy way to open a padlock...

I know this site is about picking locks, but i found a way in with a hacksaw...without cutting through the shackle, and you can get to the cylinder, levers etc. without marking it

ok...the shackle is hardened, so its hard to get in that way... i found a lock opened with blot cutters,so i fugured its no loss to anyone if i nicked it it was on the floor... so i put it in a vice, and looked down the keyhole, and saw the levers were pointing away from me... so i cut the other side of the keyhole, so the blade went between the keyhole and the shackle... i glided through it lol - straight through... shackle just needed a twist, and the side that is held in by the latch (the side you would normally shim open) just fell out because you use the shackle to force it in... then you just get pliers or whatever, and pull the springs out from the latch, shackle etc. and it falls apart, leaving a keyhole buried in the body of the lock, and an unmarked shackle... leave this outside the bike park, and the poor victim will be clueless lol - he'll think you pulled the shackle out

anyway...to do the lock, make sure the spring that moves to lock back to the tumblers is gone. pick the lock, and turn it so the bottom of the keyhole is at 90 degrees to the tumblers. hacksaw down to it, so the blade goes through the slot in the keyhole... rotate the keyhole 180, and do it again...you take off half of what holds the cylinder in

now just pull it out, and you have a practice cylinder...with no way of holding the top levers in

Wow umm... well i pick locks to and figure good bypasssing ways since i am not elligble for the advanced forums yet, but in all honesty the key to gaining knowledge in this forum is by #1 common sence #2 respect for the rules. When you say stupid things respect is lost.. as horsefeathers and shrub have already i am assuming, and hense you will recieve no help and be flamed till no end, and then when you think to be tough and retaliate then your thrown out as many predicessors of this kind of behavior have displayed, i am not flaming you just telling oyu to be more wise as to how and what you word in the forums.

No you dont get banned for what was said but rather the removing of a lock that isnt yours without permission regardless of its state is seriously frowned upon and is classed as stealing in almost every country i can think of.

Then to discuss a bypass method is also against the rules for the public forum,

The total destruction of a lock is down right out of order as this is a lockpicking forum not a lets see how much damage you can do to a lock to open it.

The cutting of a padlock in half can only be done on cheap and nasty ones as others are hardened against saw blades and to suggest cutting one length ways is the stupidest thing ive ever heard, the only reason a padlock would be cut by any one on here is if they are a locksmith needing to remove a damaged lock and in that scenareo this way of doing things woul never be tried.

You forgot to mention that "destructing" a lock is also used for making cuttaways, although i don't think destructing is the word, making a cuttaway is more like adapting.
