Went over to Walmart today to try out a few new locks. First off, i have acquired the following locks in the previous weeks:
1)master no3 pad
2)mountain security 1 3/8" pad
3)brinks brass 2" pad
4)master 142 pad
these locks have all presented unique problems that have enabled me to increase my lockpicking skill, still have had little success with the brinks 2", very tough lock due to HEAVY pin springs.
So today i picked up 2 locks, the master no5, and the brinks 50mm pad. Overall, i'm pretty dissapointed with the brinks 50mm. I knew the no5 would be little trouble, but i can honestly say that the brinks pad is almost easier to pick. I would definitely recommend this lock as a beginner device due to it's striaght forward nature, but it is useless otherwise. Minor spool pins and only 4 overall pins lend this lock to a simple half diamond pick job.
