LockNewbie21 PostPosted: Tue Apr 18, 2006 3:06 pm Post subject: Haha i thought it was great to, infact judging on the way our HOMIE!!! friend is talking and the dialect he seems to be to incompitant for reading,
i'm sorry if my maladjusted antisocial tendancies seemed to be a product of my bezerk pituitary glands. but LockNewbie21 it isn't very nice to insult ppl you don't know, the request was made for proof of ownership by photo, and a doctored one was given, i was having a bad day and my lithium levels in my blood were way up so i apologize if i didnt find the humor in the post that day, as for bashing me for how i speak, i thought this was a place to speak freely and i wasn't aware that you could gauge my level of incompetents (if you're going to flame me, at least spell it right) by a pronoun that i used in a sentence. i hope you feel better today and are not so quick to judge others by how they speak

I'm sorry, and I apologise in advance, but things like this irritate the heck out of me.
To uncle trapspringer:
I can relate to messed up chemical levels in the head. I am 37 years old and have ADHD and IDE. For those who don't know, that means Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Intermittent Explosive Disorder. It makes life real fun sometimes.
Now about the posting: You absolutely blew up in the wrong about the Pepsi machine in the picture. IF you go back and re-read this thread you will see that the person who posted the pic of the Pepsi machine was not the original topic starter, AND he began his post with [ joke ] and ended his post with [ /joke ]. That tells us all that his entire reply to the post was a JOKE.
That being said, yeah, you kinda brought the comments on yourself that you received, even though you may have thought you had a legitimate point. So, in light of the mis-understanding a simple "I'm sorry guys, I misinterpreted the post, no harm done!" would have been sufficient and even nice.
Then what do I see in your apology? I see that you did at least have the balls to issue one, but in your apology you just had to issue another dig at yet another member for his spelling of a word that you still misspelled yourself. It should read incompetence. No, I'm not flaming you for not spelling it right yourself. I AM pointing out that your apology may have been genuine had that dig about spelling not been in it in the first place.
That is why flame wars start and why threads get locked and what leads to people becoming banned from the boards.
The point I'm trying to make: If you know you were in the wrong, simply apologize for your actions without having a go at someone else. Noone here is perfect, some make spelling errors, some have a hard time communicating their thoughts, etc..., but we all have a common interest here.....picking locks and such. Just a simple "I'm sorry, my mistake!" would have put a dead horse to rest.
I hope the person you had to dig at (LockNewbie21) just reads what I have written here and decides to just leave it alone and let it die.
Now, how bout the pictures of that washing machine?

Do I smell waffles? Ben?
I don't think that the author of this thread would show us the desired pictures anyhow...

Meh... ok.
Waffles.
Please refrain from personal attacks. 'uncle trapspringer' please avoid such attacks, and more so unprovoked. Accident or not can we put this behind us?
Cheers,
Ben

The pepsi machine post was funny, the rest doesnt matter, the OP is dodgy (probably) and we wont see the pics im sure.
Its all just a laugh, no-one take it seriously, sure feelings have probably been hurt but yes it is a free forum and flames do happen needlessly, i know as ive been the instigator of a few out of order ones i admit.
Lets all shake on it.
As for the spelling of things, im terrable at spelling but this is afterall a lockpicking site and not a dictionary site.
Im also getting borded of the waffles joke.

'm sorry guys, I misinterpreted the post, no harm done. and i wasn't blaming it on a bad day, just a severe manic episode (i'm bi-polar {manic-depressant}) but all in all, my sincerest apologies to everyone for being being an ass.

I'm all for shaking on it!!
I'm happy to see that this was resolved without locking the thread.
uncle trapspringer:
That was a nice sincere thing you said!
and....
If you ever need to talk to anyone about things when you have an episode PM me. I'm going through a lot of personal problems right now over the conditions I have. I was misdiagnosed as bi-polar before I finally found a good psych. I didn't have the depressive aspect of it. (I'm on the manic side ALL the time.) Then the IED makes me do violent things that I can't remember doing. I usually don't harm other people or anything, but I'll destroy my house if I have an episode and don't get my meds. Plus, since I'm always manic I have panic attacks if I get too amped up.
Sometimes it helps to talk to others that you really don't know about things, especially someone else who is having similar problems. Sometimes people can help each other out and not even realize they have helped.
Anyway, as a friend, I would be more than happy to lend you an ear should you ever need it.

I agree to put it behind us, i appologize to, but back to the topic i think that although the thread was a more or less clever attempt at making us believe he owned this machine (coinbox and lock) so that we would help him gain entry my thoughts? failure. BUT!! this thread did have use and gave me a great laugh at that picture with the soda machine, hey us lock pickers need a good laugh to right? once again great picture editing

For the idea of the starter: I actually find the idea quite clever, just a little..uh..insane?!
Shall the community always remember this to be:
The Lockpickers Pepsi Machine Thread!
...
Nevermind what i just said.. *shakes his head*
