High Security Lock Catalogue

Postby WhiteHat » 3 Mar 2004 23:00

I found this link in my web searchings.... pretty comprehensive listing of all high security locks, how they work and in some cases the best bypass method - written by an ausie! AUSIE AUSIE AUSIE!!!! sorry, I get a bit patriotic sometimes...

http://www.textfiles.com/anarchy/LOCKPI ... seclox.txt

Quite detailed info on the generic Abloy locks which I found excelent.

this is one for the FAQ or Locks topic sticky - couldn't find it posted elsewhere.

disclaimer: I don't approve of some of the other text files found at this site, I only thought this one was appropriate to post.

Cheers,
WhiteHat.

I just have to say this has been posted several times in the past but it does not hurt posting it again.

Do a search for high security or hiseclox. I do not think that four or five aussies is a whole bunch but it does seem we post memorable threads ;)

G'day,

I only knew it was posted several times because I have posted the link ever since I saw Varjeal mention it. And just to prove I researched before I made the "several" statement, here is a list of the threads I noticed the text being refered in:

viewtopic.php?t=265 - MUL-T-LOCK picking
viewtopic.php?t=592 - Lockpickers NEMESIS...
viewtopic.php?t=1775 - A thread on this text
viewtopic.php?t=1001 - Bilock

See isn't it great being able to say something and being able to back it up with some facts. ;)

Many regards,
Marso

Hmmm searching this site for this I could only find this thread.

Searching the Internet for Dimple Locks I find this at this site as well so post it here as an ALT.

And as the Root site http://protections-vol.com has some interesting stuff and great key pictures feel this thread is worth a Bump.

It may be a picking list anyway and no-one can say bumping is picking nor is it somthing a pure hobby picker bothers with,

True a real picker doesn't bother much with bumping. But on the other hand I don't know of any picker that Can't bump if he has or wants to.
I wonder how many Bumpers there are that can actually pick??

LOL is a matter of what one calls ones self.

You Call yourself a Picker you don't cotton much with Bumping.
Call yourself a Bumper and you don't have that good a skill at picking.

I'm a Picker. And bumping is not something I do other than to Shock and awe. But I would never call myself a bumper and would feel insulted if someone were to refer to ma as such.

It is quite funny really a division based on how one opens a lock and some bigotry involved .

I guess that woud put those actually possesing a key, and using it ,at the bottom of this Hierarchy, right behind those who use the good old fashioned size 10 for door entry.

 Thats a funny look on it i never thought that a size 10 would be above the key but i guess your right lol

By that sumiseation i guess paper clips would be at the top of the list lol
