I decided to go to the store, and absentmindedly left my apartment without grabbing my keys. I shut the door and immediately realized I had just locked myself out of my apartment. *sigh* I went to the managers apartment however he was not home. He has a day job and would probably be out for a few hours. I didn't want to walk out the front door of the complex to finish my buisness, so I was effectively stuck. I wandered back to my apartment but on the way back something caught my eye, one of thoes large 2mm thick bobby pins. It looked sturdy enough I thought, I'll give it a try. I bent the pin straight and bent it into an 'L' shape, then a quarter inch from the bend began to bend it back and forth to break off a 'pick' I worked at it and after a few minutes I had a satisfactory tension wrench and a makeshift pick

I went to work on the lock

I couldn't feel the pins very well but after a few minutes I felt the pins set (!)
I opened the door, grabbed my keys, and went straight to the store to pick up some more of thoes pins.

Ironically named "SO SECURE"

they now fit nicely in my wallet.
