Draw Lockpicks

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Do I get a prize?

No...

The drawing I've almost finished doing is OK, but a bit lame... post it when I can be bothered to finish it.

Well ball picks are only of real use on wafers, and don't help much with pin cylinders. Rakes are only of real use on pin cylinders, and damage wafers.

You have succeeded in creating the ultimate piece of turd...

What next Drawinging Locks 8) That would be cool

I think the best thing is to trace any lockpick the handle the shaft and make the head of your choice.

Then people can save the picture and try out the templates.

Or if you just want to draw a pick it cna be any size not actual size.

OK, a bit of seriousness now.

The below is a drawing of a pick I made and have had some good success with. In reality it is larger than a standard half diamond.

Nice looking sketch, looks like the Bogota diamond pick.

I made it specifically to pick Wilson-Bohannan padlocks. They use long pins and deep key cuts with ample space between pins. It works equally well as a rake or as a single pin tool. I found after making it that it makes quick work of most Kwikset cylinders too.
It may just be me, but I think taking the metal out of the bottom (the rounded cut) makes the pick more responsive and gives better feedback.
