Postby Wrenchman » 11 May 2006 21:15

A lot of people like to watch lock picking on video :P and I think it would be a good idea to have thread, with videos and comments here on LP 101

I´ll start with two that I made:

Notice how the T W is bouncing, it is because the lock have spool pins!

Now I really hope this link works for everybody :?

The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

Lets all remember that photobucket nowhost vids up to 3 mins long on the free accounts, they are saved in a format that isnt the easiest to be copyied elsewhere as well so maybe have a look at that and yes lets got some vids going but remember no advanced material.

No Jason it wasnt, if you ever want to check somthing like that before you post then click on their profile then click view all posts, you then can see almost every post that person has made.

Even IF it was whats the problem? its not somthing you make 2 posts about :?

The way I read Shrub´s post, it sounds like he want to keeb it private, and I fully agree, so if someone have a good server to put videos, that could be linked to from here, perhaps sumthin with password

About photoB, I did upload the vid there (and I tryed on one or two other sites too but same problem) but, the sound did not match, the click would come like 3 sec. after the lock was opened, and I just couldn´t
live with that!

On google video you can turn off the download video option, then people can only watch it in the browser,
do you recomend that :?:

But I am not a hacker so I don´t know if it is posible to save to C: in any other way

I am not sure what it means, but I recomend that you let the video load completly before you play it, there is an indicator that shows when it is done!

LOL Jason

I actually meant that you still have full control over the video, you can remove it if you want or leave it as long as you want, the video is also saved as a non standard file format when its on PB's account, so i meant simple right clicking and saveing doesnt save the video hence it cant be copied and posted elsewhere.

As for the sound thing, i noticed that on a few of my earlier vids but it seems the more you upload or the smaller in file size the vid then the better it is, PB will reduce the size of your file to fit in the memory or time allowance, if you edit it before hand so its already in the reccomended sizings then it doesnt happen as they reduce the pickture before the sound, vids bang on 3 mins or just below will/may still be edited by PB.

Its worth sticking with as its the best ive found, a few in the past have used file front but again the vids can easily be ripped and rehosted by unscruplious members.

Its up to you and what you want to do, if i was to post a video on here it would only be basic stuff to help beginers out, advanced stuff can just as easily be emailed to appropreate and trusted people and then there are a lot less issues with it.

The right dubbing doesnt always matter, the one i did on padlock shimming isnt great but it puts the point across, you can always use no sound and edit the video with captions even put up a flash of "CLICK" when it clicks if you want, you could even do it like a silent film lol where the picture cuts to a screen of text lol

That was my first thought, but I did add "comments" for the poster to shortly(half a sentence) explain what

there video is about, not for comments like: nice, good, I liked it, cool, fast, that looked more like raking to

me, :D , , 8) , ect. ect.

This thread is already abused, maybe we can get the Mods. to collect all the videos, and put them in a

locked thread, to avoid unnecessary comments, then we could Email/Pm the Mods. with the video link and

posters comment, because they have power to unlock!

But there should be another thread, just for comments, cuz we can´t live without comments!

Just my view, think about it, I´ve been wrong before :o

In the meantime I´ll post one more vid:

Single pick padlock with spool in, what looks like, 35 sec.

I agree, if you dont mind as soon as i can get a digital camera i have some videos to add to your thread if you dont mind, i think that you should just have the mods remove unnessisary replys.
