easy to make spring tension wrench

i made some tension wrenches from wiper inserts but they are quite strong(not much flex)so i made these super flex ones.
not sure if it's been done before but here go's
i took an old peace of mica and cut of the bad stuff then cut a strip of it for the spring

the cut a tension wrench in half and sand each side for the superglue the stick


then glue it on both sides and leave a gap in the middle about 3-4mm


then you have a very light tension wrench.

Very creative i give it a thumbs up buddy, i think that its plauable to work (ugg i sound like the myth busters) anyway how flexable is the material meaning its it flexable enough to transfer you down ward motion to the part in the lock, i say this becuase i copied the feathertouch wrench with standard tension wrench material, by making the circle, and then ground down the circular part so that it would be less firm i found that to get it right is tough my first on i litterly broke because i had to bend the little bugger so much just to get light tension to fell.

I might be ignorant or stupid, but the heck is mica? Amd what is it usually used for? I have checked the dictionary and it lists "mica" as some sort of mineral. There also is "mica paper", which is just translated to "Mikapapier" but google gives me real explanations for this, so I suppose some other term is used in Germany... Anyone can shed some light on it?
