I'm looking to buy some falle safe tension wrenches - the uber l33t ones that are double pronged and adjustable. www.mbausa.com sells them, however to purchase them requires registration with the site. Registration includes authentication with organizations like ALOA, though it's not necessarily required. I'm currently not a member of such an organization.
I'm going to throw caution into the wind to see if I can get accepted, however I was wondering if anyone else on the forums has had an experience with registering with this site.

I haven't used the site before, but the price for the whole set is the same as what I paid when I bought it from safeventures.com. I was extremely impressed with this company, fast reply for e-mail, fast delivery (7 days from the U.K. to me in the U.S.) I would drop them an e-mail and see if they can offer you a similiar deal. They don't offer just the wrenches on the site as a stand alone, but they may hook you up. I have also spoken to Sue Newton on the phone personally at about 8 p.m. their time, she completed my order and sent it out next morning, not a lot of people willing to go out of their way for you like that where I live

I do know that if you don't supply registration numbers to any of the listed organizations, and if you don't own a locksmithing or security business, that they WILL restrict your access to purchases of non-bypass tools. That means you wouldn't be able to buy anything from Falle Safe.
I also know that they don't verify any of your supposed affiliations.

I do operate a lockout business, however I'm not a member of their listed organizations. I mentioned that in my registration. I'll let you guys know how it goes, and check out safeventures as well in the mean time.

Safeventures is the one retailer for Falle-Safe that SPECIFICALLY sells the basic pick set to hobbiests as well as lockies (this was worked out some time ago by, I believe, Pinky), so they're used to hobbiests calling them up, saying they're a LP101 member and asking to buy the Falle-Safe kit...

mba USA will sell to you even if you are not a member of the ALOA. However, you may have to call them and fax them some sort of proof of your business. It took me a few days to get authenticated, but it's doable.

After sending them a copy of my business license and business card I got approved. Now the problem is do I want to spend 70 bucks on 4 adjustable wrenches, or get the whole 50 piece set for 250 bucks.
They marked up those wrenches 50 bucks, proprptionaly they should only cost $20... which is justification enough for me to just buy the whole pick set I think

Apparently, they only cost $175 before... mba has been doing a fair bit of marking up recently.
