How do I remove this ? I tried knocking the lock, but I am to affraid to damage my baby..

if it is an e-clip, just apply pressure with a flat head screwdriver on the gap between the two sides.

If it's a padlock, make sure there's no pressure on the shackle (and it is in the locked position). Then 'rap' the lock on your vice to knock the driver out, then two ball bearings should fall out, then the shackle will pull through the top of the lock body. No damage to the lock 'cept maybe a scratch on the bottom where you rapped it. Good luck.

Thanks, yeah well I figured out, that you need to put the shackle in the locked position :)
