Padlock that can not be picked?

chuck hit it on the nose again...check out the s&g line...they have awsome stuff...maybe a combo lock of some sorts...extremely difficult to crack unless the person has been trained in safe cracking which would take just a few years(maybe 10-20) to accomplish but it'll give you a pretty good chance.

Have Master lock hasps (have a overhangin edge to protect access to the screws) with a shackel that is just big enough for the lock shackel, so you can not pull the hasp away from the screws.

Now you can just barely see the the top of the recessed screws on some of the hasps (I have 4) while on others you can not see the screws at all. We are talking 1/16" to 1/8" clearance between the edge of the hasp and the tops of the screws in the worst case. That is for the screws on the front side of the hasp shackel, you can not see the screws that are on the back side of the hasp shackel mount or the screws that hold the back of the shackel (by the hinge) to the fridge.

You would need some kind of special tool to get to them and then turn them, with out seeing them. I am going to epoxy a metal plate on top of the screws so they can not be acessed.

I might be stating the obvious here, I had to carry out an NDE for work - I pushed out the hinged pin on the staple on one job from underneath using a file, hammer and drift.

Another one was on a steel security door, fitted with a Chubb "Battleship" padlock, only thing was he used an ordinary "screw in" eye rather than the proper staple - just used the padlock to turn the eye and took the whole thing away before the door opened, seized the offending equipment - left a receipt and copy of the Notice and "re-secured" the property the same way.

The morale of this is don't look at the lock as being the weak point in your security - it's usually the human.

Will try a Medeco on one side and a Mul-t-lock on the other, maybe it will take too long to pick both and they will give up. The hasp hinge can not be removed.

i just got my multilocks today... was thinking, anyone have access to the keys at all? they could have impressioned them.

How would you cut the inner pin cuts? I doubt impressioning without a high security key machine would be any kind of option.

well, if you had access to the key, you could make a copy by "impressioning" so to speak.

think that laz guy mentioned it in one of the defcon vids, push the key into clay or something, then poor liquid puter into it.

however, some of the newer keys... that'd be a really delicate process.

I would say with a fair bit of confidence that the new keys would not be so easily "copied" due to their interactive nature.
