i'm done cutting, scraping and hurting my self. if i add up what i spent on hacksaw blades, feeler guages and mis. tools i could of bought some realy nice picks by now. before joining lp101 i purchased that small picks i a credit card set, the jack knife set and my poor abused beginner set of magestics. i want a good set and move on i just have no extra time these next few month to play around with making them. i am down to two chocies about ten peterson just picks or a med. size set of hpc with a few hpc 2000 in it which of the two would you guys get. i also want to get a decent double sided tension wrench. the ones i have made feel so good intill they slide out bend or brake. yes i would get the falle if i could find a place to sell them to me. help what would you guys get. between what i posted.

Falle picks you can buy at safeventures.com. Between the peterson and hpc picks, I would buy peterson everytime.

Those will rock your world at 280$ a set. Rumor has it they are worth every penny.

falle

Postby raimundo » 5 Jun 2006 15:07

Think about it, they're made on a punch press, and you could copy them quite easily from 12 inch feeler gauges sold in machinests supply stores for much less. these may be good designs, but they are seriously overpriced

man i was hoping some one would post something i didnt want to post after my self again. i did the math theres 50 pieces so it $5.60 A piece thats realy not bad if you figure out the other sets on the market. most sets if you figure it out are about $3.00 a pick and some alot more. i spent 5 hours on some projects last night and ended up with a pile of scrap. $5.60 is not bad if there that good. i mite stop being a bitc@ and try agian i found templates for all there picks and i didnt no i could get 12" feeler gauges i just have to find some but 5.60 a pick is not bad.
To bad they didnt have smaller sets. :?

Not that it matters rai, but they're cut with a jet of water, and are made from layers of nickel and steel. Not that that justifies the price, but it not as bad as first assumed is all.

Perosnally i would only buy th tensioners and that all.. the other picks re just hooks, plus you could jsut get a buddy with a water jet to make them for you i was offered alrready in here.. the tensioners are indeed godly.. i would deff say over priced.
