Am i missing something here? you can only bind pins in the opposite direction the key turns.. and the turning force is very high you have to crank the key to turn it compared to the other masters i bought

bam! i have same prob...i can pick a few locks now, and i can do padlocks without too much trouble, however, i got a craftsman padlock and i cant even get ANY pins to set, nor can i rake it open, i dont have a key, and i cant even feel the plug turn at all when i apply tension. i read somewhere on here about side pins or something....where there are like grooved pins on the side as well...cant remember where, just recently though. perhaps that is PART of yours and my problems.

For whatever reason, I've always had a weird time with the Proseries by Masterlock...their pins seem to behave erratically, and seem to bind overeasy at first...(ie, turn the plug just slightly and the front few pins won't move at all) and once past that, nothing will bind, period. =/ That's just my experience though...I've picked the 6121 but didn't find it fun at all.
I found that putting the torsion wrench in, putting my pick in, and slightly lifting the pins...VERY slightly...with the backside of my pick while applying a bit of tension makes it a bit easier for some reason. It seems to get past the issue of them binding immediately.

Yea i just made a tensioner outof an old key another reason is because the cylinder is not in the lock good or wobbly for a reason i can pick it back wards but not to open it.
