Yes, the video is out there. I do not recall which video it was although if I recall correctly it was during competition  . Talk about being able to operate under pressure. 8)

Well this is a little old i came across and the count is i picked th lock about 3 times since i bought it, not the best but i got it.. it did take in the hours and sitting downa t one shot to get close, ehh i applied to the advanced forums i don;t think i got in but its now biggie becuase iw as thinking it might acutally show me a littel to much instead of developing my own skill at them, lol it has humbled me to say the least though i know see that picking on in under 5 minutes is rare.. and probobly a day i will never see :D Zeke.. did you ever go to the defcon conference.. i recently learned about this, you would get some HOLY SH*T"S!!!! from the crowd either way your you showed me up.

Your ignorance? I'll give you ignorance.

I just received a biaxial from eBay for $15. I put a tension wrench in and then slide in my smallest pick. I feel around in there. I pull out the wrench and pick and go back to work on a Schlage.

Someone said he made a little wooden stand for his first Medeco. Great idea. Maybe some gold spray paint. What I got here is a friggin' Holy Grail.

Still waiting for a sudden flash like Locknewbie had. If it just opened once...

yea this is an oldie thread.. I mean not that i gainged anymore skill with medeco's what so ever.

It felt great when it opened... concidering it was hours at one sit down... long night.

I have respect for them becuase most locks out there that are common i can open no prob.. and it can go to your head.

We this lock showed me.. you nto that great, i had a pprecaition.

Either way for 15$ i think mine was 25$ or soemthing i might have posted it in this thread. It gave me littlerly months of nothin.. meanign no luck.

BUt heck for 25$ of fun and challenge, i would take it anyway.. concidering i down that in a case of beer in two nights.

Deffinatly an awsome lock for humbleing yourself... excpet zeke.. he just rocks at medecos :)

Hi Guys,

A question for Zeke, or anyone else in the know...

In the YouTube video (about 35 seconds in), it looks like the plug of the medeco is sitting a couple of millimetres proud of the surface of the cylinder (it sticks out).

Is this normal for a Medeco, or is it because the retaining clip has been removed from the lock?

Cheers,

N.

Well i am not positive as to what you are saying.. the plug is stick the cylinder?

Well if you be the retaining clip, i have a master 991 plug that will do this.

If it was after he picked it.. and there was not retension clip then yes the plug would be free to slide.. but fromt aking my old on apart. the sidebar catchs sometimes.

My guess is as good as yours.. he has an updated video he made for all the cretan's that called him fake in locksport archives.

I actually gave up on mine until i seen Zekes vid.

I watched real closely.. i said this in another thread.

He gently slides his hook over the pins to find a binding pin.. i tried this.. and has inproved my picking 10 fold.. shout out zeke :)

If you get really really good t feeling you will be able to feel the angles ont he pins.. but thats all for the public section

Hi,

Locknewbie, what I meant was that normally, in a locked cylinder, the plug is flush with the front of the cylinder. In the video, the plug seems to stick out a bit before the lock is picked. I just thought that this was odd, and wondered if it was something peculiar to Medeco's.

Cheers,

N.

My Medeco is like that too. It's supposed to protrude. You're right though, it is kinda wierd.
