I have got a great story to tell in respects to my experiences in the last hour.
It started when I got home and started to exit my van with my gear and bags and etc. I got out, made sure I had my keys, punched in the lock and shut the door.
Halfway to my front door, I went for my keys and realized they weren't there! Apparently as I was exiting the van,(after checking to make sure I had my keys like I always do) the strap that holds my keys to my belt snapped off in the door as I was shutting it and were pulled inside at the last moment.
Well I have a spare key that I just happened to get made yesterday for the van... but its in the house. Not to mention that my picking tools and jigglers are both in the van... ironic huh.
So I remembered that I saved about 5 paperclips in my wallet.. just in case... so I pulled them out and started making improvised tools. Now the van has these really good pick-resistant wafers that I know I just can't get with paperclips.... so I preceded on working on my front door. My deadbolt is a Kwikset with no security pins (thank goodness for this).
In about 30 seconds I had it set and turned it the rest of the way with my knife. Got my spare key and all was well with the world.
I thought yall might like this little story. Maybe next time I will keep a few picks in my wallet along with the paperclips.
Good times.
