I voted naked metal, because I don't bother with handles on my SO set. I just like the feel of the reinforced handles, but I can't stand the thin picks

I have tried hard plastic, metal and rubber - as well as my personal favorite, Shrink Tube On Bare Metal. I find it does not dampen things as much as hard plastic (find it to chunky feeling) or as rubber. I do want to get a can of plastidip to try out though, I have a facination for this stuff that I have never used.

I like the rubber heat shrink tubing, quick easy and can be changed real easy if it gets grubby.

My favorite so far is tremclad paint (rustproofing paint). I just put multiple layers on the handle of one of my picks recently, it dried semi soft and has a great feel to it, surprisingly enough. I wonder how it's going to hold up, but it's doing great so far.

Take a wiper blade (wide one) make your pick sand polish, take two hacksaw blades(its all there good for) and make a metal handle, hot glue the wiper down to the one side then glue the otherside on, then fill in the gaps like caulking(overfill), then take a sharp hobby knofe and trim off excess, The glue when dried is semi movable and the small tang with in the trimmed down hacksaw blades gives a very very clear feeback because the hot glue with allow it to move or pivot just enough to give great feeback, be sure the wiper goes the entire length of the handels. i put heat shrink around it which is comfy not a nessesity.

I'll post a pick later when i have time.

Consider a can of Plasti-dip (dip your own grip for tool handles) and a can of Liquid Electrical Tape (very similar, perhaps thinner). I haven't tried the latter, but Plasti-dip may be too thick or rubbery for you.

i have round wooden handles, on my home made picks i took about 5 inches of dowel and drilled a hole in the center then stuck my pick in and filled the hole with epoxy.

i tried putting rubber on the handles put i didnt prefer it much. so i stuck with wood..

I like handles, and I really lament the fact that the Falle Safe set doesn't
have them...

I must try some Peterson picks... I'll order a set of Just Picks with the plastic handles soon.
