Postby Kung » 13 Mar 2004 20:02

I searched this forum and i did not find any info that seems to hint that some one can use the picks to pic a warded lock. i am useing master warded 22 and i tried every pick every way i could think of and i cant open it. and there is no real direction to pick warded locks can any one tell me if some one has and how they did it? or just how to use the picks

warded padlocks are probably the easiest master lock to pick.

all you need is warded padlock pics, see the picture above on the "links" image, those are warded picks.

basically, look at your key, out of all those cuts only 1 or 2 of them push "levers" so to speak, the rest just help prevent other keys from being used. compare your key to the warded picks in the image at the top of the page, and you should get why it works so easy.

Put one of the picks into the lock. Push it all the way in. Try to turn it -- if you hit a ward, then obviously stop trying to turn. If the lock doesn't open, pull it a quarter of an inch out, and try to turn it. Repeat until it's open.

Buy a "Master" brand warded lock to first begin on. Generally, you dont have to worry about "pulling out" much at all.
