Electric screw driver - electric pickgun

Hey guys,
I just brought a cheapo Black and decker 3.6 volt electric screw driver, I was just wondering if you guys knew of a way to "Modify" my screw driver into a pick.

interesting idea though, don't think it'd work though unless your drill happened to have a setting for "cement", or something along those lines where it just vibrates and shakes real bad. now, if you had a vibrator laying around for some reason.... :shock:

Screwdrivers spin, electric picks vibrate. Not really an easy conversion there. Get yourself a cheap electric toothbrush or something, that'd probably work better.

Although I can think of a way that a spinning electric pick would work -- or at least, I think it would -- it'd take a moderately precise micromachining.

, and i heard somewhere that electric pickguns are based on a electric screw driver....
I mainly stick to hand tools, but pickguns are fun too. It's great to have the skill and the tool that requires hardly any and i hardly use it.

go to a sex shop and get yourself a good vibrator, then modify it.

might be gross... but if you want a homeade electric pickgun, that's what you're lookin at doing

THe HPC electropick IS made from a Black and Decker eletric screwdriver. Unfortunately I dont have specifics on what is added on. I can imagine that theres a couple of cears, and a cam driving the internals of a "standard" pick gun.

Like chucklz said some electric picks are actually just modified electric screwdrivers.
If you take the housing apart and remove the screwdriver attachment bit you will see that the mechanism inside does actually move up and down.

I have the HPC electro pick - it is a Black & Decker screwdriver body, battery & charger - when I can figure out how to get decent quality small size pics I will post them up

Well i took the head off my screw.... driver and i screwed it royaly, dropped somthing can;t find it, i can see the motor
