Medeco Biaxial Cutaway

It's been a work in progress for quite awhile now, but I finally finished this Medeco biaxial cutaway. It's a euro cylinder that is keyed on both sides. One side is cutaway, the other is not. Search for "Medeco" on eBay to find the auction for this lock.

those are the groves for the sidebar.

What do you mean? In the key pins? If they are in the key pins, those are the slots the sidebar falls into.

how did you go about cutting into the cylinder like that, very nice work man

I used a dremel cutting disk and a very small sanding post from a knock-off dremel kit. Mark the lines in permanent marker (it will wash off with a dab of rubbing alcohol) and then start cutting.

Well noah, maybe i will make one of these to help me out, any ideas on how much a euro medeco cylinder will go for?

I think this one cost me around 8 bucks, but I can't remember exactly.

Ive dragged this old post out of the advanced section for you all as it may be interesting for you,

Ok ok i know theres rough bits on it but in the 2 1/2 hours it took me to do it i had so many interuptions it wouldnt be believed and once you loose your train of thought its easy to come back and cut too much or dig the cutter in rushing etc, i hope the plug pic is good enough for you Noah, it seems to be fine so i suggest somthing simular if your stuck

It needs some cleaning up but as others are making them as i type i thought it would be best to post up now.

Its a bit messy but if i was to do another i know what to cut and where so it would be a good job but thats the problem with making things up as you go along.
