Lock Help

Postby DrHerb » 16 Jun 2006 2:56

I recently lost my keys to my desk drawer trying to figure out what type of lock it is and the best way tools to use to pick it. It has been a few years since I had a lock pick set, and have forgot most of the basic's so this a great excuse to get back in it. On to the lock! from what I can tell it is a cylinder lock with a normal key. The desk is about 10-20 years old I belive. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Generally speaking, a desk drawer will have either a very basic 4 pin lock, or a simple wafer lock. These are among the easiest locks you'll find, so get something to use as a pick and tension wrench and have a go at it. If you've picked locks at all in your life, you'll be bound to be successful on these kind of locks. Just have a go at it.
