When the neighbor kid broke off a toothpick in my car lock, I was able to get it out with a very narrow pair of tweesers. This may or may not work in your case, but it's worth a try.

Have a go with a straightened out fishing hook otherwise its a door strip down if you cant get it out, jigglers are flater than the right key so the fishing hook should be ok make sure any wafers/pin are out of the way so's not to stop it being retrieved.

I have worked in automotive shops for years and might be of some help if you have not solved the problem already, but i will need more information on what model of Pontiac and the date of manufacture (month and year care was made), to get that you can find it on a sticker (usually white in color, about 3x4 inches), located in the drivers side door-jam or in the glove compartment. At the top left or right corner of that sticker you will see: Date ??/??.

Hope i can help you.
