My bad, my bad, please allow me to explain.
I live in a very rural area next to a backwoods military post. Lots of the yokels out here like to buy, and wear, specialty Army gear. If you want to see the kind of hick I'm talking about, chekc out www.combatexpert.com
- I find this sort of thing irritating to no end.
Due to my former line of work, I automatically assumed the wristband was intended for tactical purposes (for which it would be BRILLIANT, I might add,) which like 99% of the knee jerk assumptions I make was absolutely, undeniably wrong. Anyway, I put one and one together and got three, as I tend to do...
I've been thinking about something like this myself, only it's made of kydex and fully sheathes the heads of the picks - maybe have it be MOLLE compatable too. That way, you can make a bunch of big, explosive movements and not lose your picks, and when you need them they're right there.
Anyway, sorry and all that - it's an excellent idea. As for me, I can be a real idiot sometimes. Thank you for enduring me.

You forgot to mention I do all of the above stark naked, leaving me with no pockets to put my pickset - and hence the need for a wristband.

so technically you don't even really need to use either wrist for this if you're running around naked.

I tried this, but found the smell to be somewhat offputting.

However much the back of my mind is screaming that i'll probably never use it, the remaining parts of my head are frantically scetching something to pull over my lower arm, trapping a handfull of picks and wrenches.
Materials included are:
- nylon cloth (inner(2?) and outer(1?) layers for sturdyness, pick-protection and several flaps that close over them around the arm.)
- elastic material on at least the both ends, and perhaps also halfway the product.
It would become pretty sturdy, and could take in quite a bit of the lower arm (probably designing it for the left lower arm, as i'm right handed), and it's gonna have quite some stitches to keep it all together, but this sounds like fun to make.
I'll mill it over.
Yours,
Jordy

i think it's a pretty cool idea. i've often had multiple picks/tentsion tools in my mouth and something like this will be a welcome addition to my "bag of stolen tricks".
thanks bembel!

I've used the wristband of my watch for similar purposes in the past. Works pretty well, if a tad uncomfortable.

You could always flavour them with something. The stuff dentists use to flavour the cotton swabs so you don't taste the bitter benzocaine comes to mind...
