Looks like a WH keyway, which is a restricted keyway.

Always wondered what a restricted keyway was. I'm lost.

Well I am holding a WH keyway key in my hand at the moment and it looks identical to the one in the picture.

So I am pretty sure that you have a BEST WH restricted keyway there.

Here is a few pictures of my key:

And here is a picture of a core it fits into:

I would say from BEST. Restricted key blanks are restricted for a reason...

that key

Postby raimundo » 31 Aug 2006 8:51

that appears to be one of those best keys that is twice as thick as the normal one, I have seen the keys, but never the lock. this morning, I picked two best keys up on the sidewalk, and they were on a q blank, that is one I had not seen before, but I suppose its safe to guess it comes from some institution with lots of locks, one of the keys has at least 3 positions with the highest bitting, virtually uncut. this type of config just makes me think "control key or master, or something special" but that may just be my take on it, I'm not a best expert.

I don't think I've EVERY found a key on a sidewalk...a couple quarters...a few bills here and there...but a key? Never! Maybe some people just have the luck that it takes to be a burgalar w/o trying that hard...

Not that you are Ray...just that hey, you got keys falling from heaven! Maybe it's a sign you're in the wrong line of work?
