Places for hobbyists to buy HPC picks, and advice on them.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I checked it out, and really as long as you can present proof that you are to becopme a locksmith or are one, you can really be concidered a lockie, becuase even with training you need tools, i shoudln't see why they would'nt sell them, the shipping is great to.. how do they get these prices so low? Ha there lower the the foley price.

I have full sets of peterson and HPC 2000 series and HPC standards.

Each brand in my eyes has its good picks, peterson has the reach, HPC 2000's have every other shape that makes no sence.

Both good brands, though i prefer hpc metal handles over petersons handles and my HPC 2000's have rubber handles which give similar feel to the petersons but they are too light.

I don't buy stuff from foley becuase there not really all that much cheeper.. plus even though i am getting it free, they tell you shsssssssh!!!!! dont tell anyone about the pcik gun!.. then they ramble on how if you give it to the wrong person i will start a "crime wave". To put it short... they really try to sell you the stuff from them.

There also very goods with words to someone who has not read this site. I mean the prices are okay and such.. but they say the pick gun will open any pin tumbler in a matter of seconds  medeco came to mind when i read that.

They do sell good sets, but i would try the web first there are better deals. Just be sure to include proof in your invoice, like your student learning card and you will be fine. I doubt locksmith suppliers will turn your down if you show them ID.

Skold quick question, do the hpc's petersons ect. have a diffrent feel that SO's, as far as the metal handels?

I prefer any handle, they do infact kill feel a little but if you practice with them you can compensate and there just as good, i also find plain picks flex in your hand not from over doing it, just getting a good grip them slide around.

If i get a new set, it will be petersons with rubber handles... or them fancy new Blue handels dynos  god i love them things, i still can;t find a suplier who has them in the US, only in Germany.

I has been a while since i have handled SouthOrd picks, but HPC's have a nicer finish but they are really about the same. Overall HPC's are just better to handle.
