Got street sweeper bristles...now what?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I have to admit ive never seen any and as such never had any as the ones around here use plastic ones but....

I think the brushes have to be a bit worn for the bristles to start coming out, the usualy places are where theres cracks in kerb stones, drain covers, splits in the road etc anywhere where theres going to be a good chance they will be ripped out, the other areas where they seem to fall/pull out are corners especially concave ones as the brushes will be overloaded being pushed into them, rough surfaces like cobbles etc,

You could see if it comes from a yard locally and simply ask them if they would save you the old ones when they get replaced, there may also be a old machine there that the new one has replaced with bristles scattered around it

You guys need to conceive some kind of bristle trap you can set up on the curb in front of your house. Something that is small but traps and breaks off bristles when the sweeper goes along. Fresh bristles with every pass :)
Due to financial limitations the light at the end of tunnel has been turned off until further notice.

If you want to make your (pick/Tensor) tools based on exact measurments, think about making a small purchase to any well known and reputable supplier.

Individual tools such as a pick or tension wrench are not that expensive, once you recieve them base you measurments on those except make them with different shaped ends that you can find in posts which contain pics of other members' tools or specifically from the suppliers web site

Hope this info helps and hope i did not offend any members/moderators in the making of this thread.
