Pick handles

I like my Falle-Safes just as they are, so bare metal, no handles--it's the best feedback, and something I like about them is that they shouldn't hurt, period, and if they do that's telling you you're using too much force. I like that, it's too easy to overdo it with other ones (although I do have an affinity for Peterson, regardless). If you're using them, and it hurts, well...stop pushing so hard, and it'll stop hurting--there you go

They aren't hurting my hands, it's just doesn't feel as good picking without a handle... I'll grant it has the best feedback, but maybe I'm just fussy.

yesterday,i was at the hardware shop with my brother ,and i saw some wierd orange-tubing like stuff in hardware terms,its called "spaggetti"(im bad at spelling)and it is like a 8mm thick tube with 5mm hollow in the middle.But there is a cut in it,i was thinking of trying this out to slide over the edges while gluing it down.That was the edges would be smooth,and u could still touch the inside of the hacksaw blade...(which is what i use)

Youve got to think what the finished thickness will be like,

Putting a bit of cardboard either side of the pick (from a corn flakes packet or somthing) and then shrink wrap over that would make a good handle i think.

mine came with rubber grips, but they were uncomfortable, so i just left them bare.

I prefer the Heat shink tubing method, it work really well for my homebrew picks.

Metal reinforced handles are great too, but lightly finishing the edges with some fine grit sand paper helped them from not digging into my fingers.

I like the sharp edges on handles, it makes me feel alive

I dont have a lot of feeling in my hands as theyve been well work hardened in the past believe it or not so i like the SO handles, they are a nice size and fit well for me, i think they are my ideal ones upto now of all the ones ive tried.

The SO metal handels are good the regular ones are annoying, nver tired the rubber or plastic, but its like playing a guitar when you first start your hands will hurt after picking a good week two three weeks you will develope calus's<-- i know i spelled that wrong and it wont hurt.. if you ever played an acoustic fro more then 15 mins your first time you will know what i mean.. just have to make your baby hands into um... lockpicking hands? either way just keep using them eventulaly it goes away.. but with most hydrualiclly stamped picks you might just lose a finger.. so feeling is gone problem solved
