So, will someone tell me which is a higher-security lock: the Evva DPI/DPI-6 or the DPX? It looks like the DPX is just a normal pin tumbler lock with a profile checker, while the DPI uses sidebar pins and a profile

Well the dpx or dpsif I am not mistaken uses the profile check on both sides? If so, it was on older design which was a lock that was succeptible to bumping if the dimples on the side of the key were correct. The locks you have are bump proof no matter if the dimples are correct or not .
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

How hard would it be to find something like that for sale? Do they come up every so often on the dutch/german ebay site or did you get that through a private transaction, zeke?

Is the MCS sidebar shown in your picture? I think I can't see it, but I don't know if they made are transparent one. But the video would be nice, of course.

The MCS, 3KS, and DUAL have one of their sidebars removed, so you can see the sidebar pins. Here is the video of the MCS sidebar. The sidebar is the silvery thing. Sorry that my camera can't take very good videos.

Ahh, good idea!
BTW, I notice that you picture all of them upside down... These are Austrian locks, the core needs to be at the top, otherwise they will get seasick
Thanks for the video!

Yes, I noticed that because of how the MCS key looks. Stupid americans and their stupid up-side-down ways of mounting locks.
