Snap-Guns

The retail snap guns hit the pins in the lock then the needle returns to it original position. The coathanger guns just snap and stay in the original position pretty much.
eg. ---------------------- <<< snap pick while in original position
- < pick while being depressed

then the needle will return to itss original position. so my question is - how can the neddle hit the pins but keep in the original position and still open the lock. what should happen is the top pins will bounce but the bottom pins will remain in the same position becuase they are sitting on the neddle of the coat hanger gun. if this is confusing just ask me and il tryu to explain it better. + great site plenty of useful information and not many idiots.

G'day and welcome,

Personally iam a bit confused but it is late at night so ill take a stab at an answer for you.

When a coat hanger pick gun is put in its already touching the pins, then you snap it so it sends a "vibration" down the pick which then hits the bottom pins and causes them to pass this energy to the top pins which shoots them hopefully pass shear line.

With a retail pick gun, the pick is in a up & down motion which hits the pins all at once which causes the same energy as it would if you were using a snap pick.

Hope that answers your question
P.S what part of Sydney you from, if you rather you can PM me the answer

it sounded like you ment the coat hanger blade goes up and stays up holding the pins up and not leting the bottom pins lower. is this what you ment?
