Bump Keys

That is one of the best I have ever seen!

Can you edit your "mistakes? or would you rather leave it for the people who steal your posts to make and sell CDs on e-bay?

Nice tutorial, been fooling around with some home brew bump keys of my own with mixed success. It's good to see it set out so well and so I can see where I'm going right/wrong.

The mixed success, must be because your are using locks that are hard to bump..On which lock are you bumping may I know ?

The locks are on my lockboard - made by Era. On the 1, 2 and 3 pin locks it works well enough but not on the others. It's probably my skill with a file that's to blame as they aren't the best locks. On the single pin lock I can rap the bumpkey with a finger and it opens.

ahh... I see you shop at locksmith-tools.co.uk

how well you file the key can alter your success... timing is also an issue when you bump locks

I have been through the many search pages specifically looking for the auto-jiggler templates but ALL the tutorial's templates do not work!!!

1) There should not be any auto tool templates on the public sections,

2) Discussion of auto tools is not for the public sections,

3) When you are good enough to a) use auto tools and b) good enough to see the sections where they are discussed you will not be needing templates anyway.
