New tubular lockpick

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Not at this time

Sorry, that sounded a bit short.
There has been commercial intrest in this product, and I don't wish to show it yet.
Hope you understand.

How common are these octagonal tubular locks here in the UK? I have never come across one.

If a way of applying tension to the core could be found (as I say, never seen one) then I guess they could still be single pin picked like regular tubulars.....couldn't they?

regards

They pick the lock and once picked the pick is left as a working key that you can then decode so they are both a decoder and pick,

Ive yet to come across a hex tubular lock,

They are made by Cam Lock, and I got mine from Ebay a while back. The seller seems to have stopped selling them now. :?

if ya want a change, if you think the tubular pick is too easy! try too open these locks with the impressioning tool. i have two 8-pin locks with change keys, ( like a coke machine ). i like these locks because not many smith's in my area working on them. this my lock of choice. love to hear from others working on these type locks !

Master, where did you find Southord 7&8 pin picks both for less than the new combination from lockpicktools? Sounds like a good deal!

SO tubular

Postby MrBuz » 8 Aug 2006 13:46

I too had to sand my SO picks before they would stop hanging up. It became such a problem, I acquired lockpicktools new combo, and so far the new tool has been nothing but smooth. I recommend it heartily over SO separate configuration deal.
