sounds like a brown recluse bite. not sure if you have them that far north or not - but they are fairly common here. nasty little critter. As far as the schlage locks at home depot advertising "pick resistant pins" : they do have a couple of spools.

Yes, they are for construction keying as stated before.

this may sound gross, but zeke- can ya post pics of your arm? this sounds like a pretty bad bite, seriously though, you need to keep a REALLY good eye on this and the doctor does too, otherwise if it gets bad and you think, ill just keep watching it, you may***** lose part of your arm man. spider bites like that are serious business.

my buddy, he got bit by soemthing bad sophomore year, on his lower leg, his whole leg got all swollen, red and he had to get like 4 shots, then his leg came back down to normal size, but it was red and nasty, them it turned into like a red scaly rash...i was like...dude...your leg is dying. it was obscenely nasty.

only one more reason why i hate spiders. in fact when i grow up, im gonna live in antarctica or russia or something, then they cant get me. uuuughgh. some of them can even swim.

KWIKSET VS. BRINKS

Postby GSA_DENIED » 31 Jul 2006 2:08

Hello, I have a few kwiksets and they are weak I have actually broke the pins at the shear line and allowed the lock to turn and actually relock the key is useless afterwords, I trust nothing less than BRINK'S locks especially the Brink's High Security sets which have security pins (1 mushroom and 1 spool in same lock) that's not bad

i never owned a brinks. i didn't know they where a better lock. i always thought they where just a cheap knockoff of a cheap lock. I'm going to have to check one out.
