as far as i know you use it for car locks and the like, in which case, it's very effective, as it can push that little metal sheild thing back.
...wouldn't consider it on a normal doorlock or padlock probably.

I like it...sort of. I never use it on car locks. Never really mess with the things. Its designed a hellofalot better than HPCs wishbone. The...tang I guess...the thing that sticks into the lock is longer than HPCs...but I've heard and seen guys just use a simple tension wrench to open them up.
By they way, I'm pretty sure their main use is for double wafer locks...mostly found on car doors.

I find them completely useless, and I've picked a couple handfulls of car locks, dust covers intact, with regular wrenches.

I can't say that I have much use for the SouthOrd one. I have been thinkign about trying one thats simply made of round wire, so as to not slip as much as the SO one, although I haven't found the right wire or time yet. I do know that www.lockpicks.com sells the wrench I am talking about.

i am planning on making a falle set of adjustable tension wrenches. Does anyone have any sugestions on what sizes to make the fingers (different from top to bottom?)

Just mesured the Southord one for you; it's 1/2cm long exactly.

Sorry, I accidentally hit submit instead of preview so the spelling and grammar are pretty bad here is what it was supposed to say.

About the Falle style turning tools. A quick look at www.crypto.com 's pictures of them shows that they are a bit more complicated than you would initially assume. If anyone has a set, could theyprovide measurements for those of us unfortunates.
