I thought this tool looked cool, watched the video too, sweet. So I picked up the parts the next time I was at a hardware store outlet and made my own. Got it to work with one of my home made not so perfect bump keys I made, but to be honest, I see no need for this tool in actual practice. It's cumbersome and heavy. If this could be made with lighter material may be. It's much easier carrying your bump keys on a key chain, and use either a screw driver handle of tomyhawk. But it was fun to make. Just my 2 cents :)

To be honest i think some of what spurned the idea of was to try and make the technique a little more professional,

it's a great idea and design! but like the creator acknowledged, there is room for improvement. Just need to make it a little lighter and pretty it up a bit, and make the key switching a little easier. It's easy to be a critic isn't it :)

Krypos wrote:hey- why not make it like an actual gun?

where the muzzle/tip of the gun goes onto the key, within the barrel is a minor spring force that applies lite tension on the key. (this is also where the key is attached- scratch attached, make it so it just slides into a slot) then the spring goes back from there to the back. then there is a second pipe that is the handle, the trigger would have to have a lever action goign on to pull the spring back to "fire".

then to counter ther spring being over twisted, the key only needs to be turned a bit to start to open it. so if the barrel only allowed the tension part to twist X number of degrees, then it would stop and lock (which could be UNlocked by a small switch on the exterior).

this would apply an automatic tension. and would be able to apply a striking force as well. it would be easily reset because you would only need to release the tension lock, that untwists the X number of degrees, and you just fire again if a second "shot" is needed.

it wouldnt need to be a realistic gun, but even just a pipe, with another pipe as the handle welded together perhaps.

unfortunately, i havent the access to such materials, but if someone else does that would make one, then go for it. all i ask is that i get proper credit for the part(s) that i came up with/contributed to.

i think that could work fairly well- what do you guys think?

did no one even read this?!

if you put some decent effort into it, it could work very well, all you would have to do is make a hole in the bottom of the tube and have a trigger which pulls the thing back, but when pulled back far enough unlatches, then you can have a spring operated lever that lets it come back to the original position. you would need a handle too of course but thats pretty much it... i think... :?
It's ok guys, i have a really bad attention sp-wow look, a beach!

No, Shrub sent me a pm and pointed it out to me.

I have disabled the ability for external sites to embed and play this video.

I'm open to any ideas or suggestions on how else to further handle this.

Jimb, ive just replied to your pm,

Im unsure whether youtube sees posted content as public owned when youve submitted it but this site owns copyright when you submit info here,

I would say the tool idea and the video is copyrighted to some degree,

The seller is selling somthing on the back of your video and not even shown the tool thats being sold,

Ive reported them to ebay for 3 reasons,

1) No item is offered for sale, its not shown and its not described,

2) They have a linked video in their listing which isnt allowed,

3) They are selling a lockpicking tool,

To me the seller seems like a scumbag anyway after a quick look at his feedback, it apears hes selling ripped off stuff from the net and i wouldnt be supprised if hes selling other stuff from this site on cd's as well,

The more of us complain the more chance of the item being removed is.
