i must say that I DID do i search and i found that i found a mixed result.

do they actually work....? as some say they do some sa they don't. do they just work on older cars and can they work on newer cars....?

i take it that they it they worked on the car they will be albe to work on the door lock and the ignition....?

and to use them i take it that you just try each one in the lock and see if it turns...?

and what is the difference between the big and the small ones...?

im in the UK by the way if it makes a difference.

some advice would be helpful !!!

thanks guys.
tom.

Thanks for trying to search first.

The success people have with Jigglers seems to depend on what set they have. This is the reason for your mixed search result. Most of the newer "laser cut (they arent really though)" systems would not open with jigglers, and probably be damaged by their use. In many cars, at least in the US the ignition lock is of sidebar design, meaning that jiggler use may not be the easiest, or quickest way to unlock the lock.

There are alot of mixed results.
Because the different sets and techniques.
Probably best to ask "repoman", I think thats his id.
He seems to know what hes talking about.

think it's mostly about technique, and what type of car you are trying to open. from what i've read on jigglers, is they worked on import's (to the US), extremely well in the late 80's and 90's... so probably any imported car from that generation, they will work quite well on. (in fact, i've even seen sites refer to them as 'import jigglers' or something similar).

as for american cars, they seam to work pretty good on that same generation of cars as well... however, it's all about technique. alot of people simply use them wrong... they 'jiggle' them, as the name implies, when they should be 'raking' more then jiggling. Just takes practice and the right techniques really.

Newer vehicles? Well, that's where alot of the mixed results come in. Some people have success on newer cars, some don't. I'm pretty sure alot of it just depends on the car. as has already been mentioned, for cars with sidewinder keys (or 'Lazer Keys' as they are also referred too), they won't work at all.

...there's probably easier ways to pick the ignition, and if the car has a transponder or VATS or anything similar to that... it's a lost cause anyways. You use jigglers to get into a car that a person has locked themselves out of anyways, so it's a moot point. They don't need to start the car.

There are 2 sets of lazer jigglers on the market. I haven't tried them yet but supposedly they're useful.

I've got three different sized sets and I'll admit I'm not particularly impressed with them - probably just me though, some people swear by them - I just swear at them!

I'd suggest saving your money and learning how to use the ball/snowman or the half diamond pick which seems to be in most kits instead.

Most modern vehicle security systems would have to be bypassed anyway to start the vehicle and that is not something I'm confident enough to give advice on.
sledgehammers make excellent back up picks!
