do they make adapter pieces to make a mortise cylinder work in a rim dead bolt.

I don't believe so, but some cylinders have threads for a mortise mount and the holes for a a rim mount.

i was asking because i have a lot of mortise cylinders and i have no mortise cylinder locks in my house. i wanted to change some of the locks on my building and they all have kwikset rim deadbolts. I'm going to check threw them again i think i seen one like you described.

Sargent makes a deadbolt that is actuated by a single mortise cyl,stndrd cam

also comes in double

Lori also makes a deadbolt that uses standard mortice cylinders
