I'm not sure you can actually use this tool on all lever locks, by the bye. Definitely not on locks with a centre post, as lockpicks.com mentions. I doubt that the 2-in-1 tools would be so expensive (and popular) if all you needed was this one (padlock) pick. But I'm sure the UK lockies can enlighten us on this one...

Well, I can tell you right now that it's only going to work on lever locks with the same gauge keyway (part of the keyway that the barrel of the key goes into) and it's not a curtain pick, obviously, so it won't work on locks with a curtain...obviously

Its been made for those padlocks, its not a lot of use on anything else due to its design but can be made to work on some mortice locks,

Old news my friends......I noticed a similar tool and made my own version ages ago. And even posted pics here on this veritably fine forum for all you would be padlock pickers...lol

Mind you, I only did it for the Squire 440, and have not tested it on other similar types.
