you have 18 outside doors? is this a baseball stadium? install HID proximity card readers linked to a Northern 1000 panel. Biometrics is nifty, but too expensive at the moment. Besides most of them dont scan your fingerprint, they take a picture of your hand, compare it to the original picture taken when you were first put in the system, and measure distances from one point to another. Enough distances match, the computer says, yup, thats the correct person.

Install ASSA or Medeco Bi-Axial locks, and if required by law, you may need request-to-exit motion sensors inside to comply with the Americans with Disabilites Act. In addition you will need electric strikes mounted in each door frame which will work with the outside readers, unless of course your biometric or proximity readers are built into the door handle mechanism. you could also go with Magnetics electromagnetic door locks, but those have to be wired fail safe so when a fire alarm goes off, the doors open. a bad guy could always start a fire, set an alarm off, the doors pop open, and he has a couple minutes before fire dept arrives to steal your stuff.

At each main outside door install an armored dome camera with 2.6 mm lens looking down, wired back to a DVR like someone already said.

this is sounding like a big job. get help. go out to bid with local locksmiths and alarm access CCTV companies. we have one in my area that does all of those things.

good luck
