going for a set of picks

Postby locked » 5 Aug 2006 8:25

Hi i'm new to lockpicking and thinking of going for a 22 piece set of slimline picks C2010.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this set or can advise anything, TBH i don't really want to go for a beginner set because as with most of my crazes i end up getting the set up from that later on and then the set up from that and so on........................... So i might as well get a proper set now.
Any help is much appreciated, cheers.

That's a good set, I know lockies who use this number of picks for cylinder locks, so definately enough. Heck, I used a 9 piece set untill not long ago, and was happily picking pretty much every lock I tried. :)

Southord Slimline C2010

Postby fujcube » 5 Aug 2006 12:13

Hi,
I bought this set of slimline picks last week and they seem to be ok. Have managed to open a couple of locks with them so far. The only complaint I have with them, and I'm no expert on the subject, is that the handles are a little on the slim side.

I bought mine from www.devonlocks.com

Regards

Hi Locked,
I am also new to the forum and I also bought the Southord C2010 as my first set of picks.

I feel I am off to flying start with them and have had 95% sucess rate with padlocks and average euro cylinders.

So for what it worth I feel it was a good purchase (but then I would say that really)

Good luck with your picking,
Cheers

Ordered them today so i should get them around Tuesday.

Who'd of thought you could look forward to a few dozen pieces of metal.

Now i'm thinking of making myself a few lever picks from spokes.

Cheers everyone.
