Hi all,
I've got this Medeco off ebay and would like to know what its called. Like cam or biaxial or whatever. I must admit the photo is very lousy, so I hope it is enough to recognize.
Furthermore, the lock gets stuck a tiny bit when turning it with a key at around 180 degree and again at 360 degree. Does this happen with all medecos or is it due to wearing down (already tried lubricating!)?
Thanks guys.
PS: I did not even try picking it as is definately has these rotating pins!

it's not a cam lock, that much is obvious.

Really need a picture of the key to say if it's a Biaxial, and a good shot of the keyway for further info. :)

Appears to be 5 pin biaxial. Not an M3. This is just a judgement call, hard to tell from those pics.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

The turning problem, i would suggest diaaslembling it and checking the springs and soak the pins in kero.

I heard medecos feel diffrent when unlocking with a key than a normal lock, maybe i am wrong, mine nver had a key

Okay, thanks a lot guys. I will try to replace the image today with a better one. I just noticed the euro lock forum would have been more appropriate, sorry for that. Maybe you feel like moving the post.

I believe that slight binding you mention is due to the the sidebar. I just got a Medeco cylinder and noticed it too.

Definately not an M3, you can see the key well enough to tell that.
