Which is the best pick to use on master and abus brass padlocks , thanks

Hook pick, snake rake, half diamonds tend to work nicely also.

i have a master lock and from what i can do i you can just pick the lock one by one but theres abus locks at my school and my dads work and every time i try and pick it the pins just fall back down im not sure if im using enough tension but abus definatly are tough locks

abus likes to use spooled top pins, in a lock that wants to spring back to center it's definitely a challenge.

oh, and you shouldn't be even thinking about picking locks in your school. we don't support that kind of thing here.

no offence.. but this site is viewing lockpicking as a hobby/sport..

It costs monney like any sports/hobby..

So go to your local locksmith purchase a couple of pin tumbular
locks, and pratice, pratice, pratice..

Or you can purchase a lock of Ebay or any locksmith site..

enough tension on abus?,i think that the les tension the better results,
you dont end up turning too much the plug when the pin sets, and afterwards have to try turning it back at the point
where the spool pins can be manipulated again.if yoy have to do it,
it easily unsets the pins.
so les tension and more feeling.
and shouldnt the setted pins always fall back down when shear line is clear?
there shouldnt be anything holding them at their positions up, except the key, when used?

id like the post editing possibility...

on abus i first add more tension to find the first pin to set, then i carry on like told above.
second way i use is, insert the bogota or rake, draw it out and ad tension ,
if its done right i usually find the first binding pin easily.
yep raking is probably best way for me with abus.
