Round Dial Tension Tools

Postby Bud Wiser » 11 Aug 2006 10:54

Forgive me if this has been covered before, I'm sure it has been a number of times. I tried using the search feature but it brings every thing up! It would probably take one a weeks reading to check each thread out! May be now it will be a little easy with it's own thread?

Any way, I'm interested in these round dial tension tools and was wondering what the popular opinion of them are, how many love them, hate them, any information at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Well, seems like a whole bunch of unknowledgable people, hehe.

I've heard that they give more room for picks because of their design. It's one of those things in my list of things to buy. I want to purchase a spring powered dial in one.

never used one, however, they appear to me to be one of those things like auto jigglers. they look really cool, and you want to buy some just to see if they work better, but when you thoroughly think it out, they are not better.

if they were better in any significant way, wouldnt there be at least ONE person that thought so enough to voice that every opportunity they got? i have never heard anyone talk of using one, so i doubt they are any good. a cool idea, however, probably not nearly as practical or useful as L shaped tool.

They are called circular tension tools and if you try that in the search you will get lots of stuff,

I think the concensus is that on most of them the wire used to tension the lock is not very good,

I seem to remember someone like Varjeal or someone liking one of them but really they arent all there cracked up to be,

They work well on certain locks and are betterthan normal wrenches in these circumstances.Work extremely well with a wendt pickgun.
