OK Some of you may of see the first post i made here a day ago about a MULTILOCK PADLOCK i have that i have lost the key for, i gave a locksmith a call and he said he would have to damage it to get it of..... so i thought i might as well get the grinder out and do it myself rather than pay some1 else to do it!

But after making my first post i had a very good look around this forum and see some video clips and pictures. I have now be drawn into everything that you guys do here, it looks great fun and very interesting, i love to learn new things. I'm a DJ and doing my thing with music is the only thing that has really given me a smile, "apart from something else" and its something I've wanted to do. But now i have come here I've downloaded about 10 videos and watched most of them I've read a lot and seen loads of pictures. So i thought to myself hmmm , i'm going to buy a cheep set of picks, so i have placed a order! And i cant wait for them to come, this looks like a great hobby to get into, and i did not know that in some countrys they have clubs for this!!

I have my own idea or what to get and were to start with lock picking from watching the video's ect...

If any of you guys have anything you could say to me that i might not know yet about the beginning stages of lock picking i will be happy to read away!

So, you got it off? Was it tough? Pictures of that would go down nicely in the "shoddy openings" thread .

Thanks for the links and info above! I'm not sure about anyone else but I'm the kind of person that learn faster when watching someone or being tort one on one.

Watching the videos is a great help to me, i understand everything much more and learn faster. if anyone has any video link to hand i am grateful.

Well, just use the search to locate some videos. I am not that interested in videos, and I don't think that there is so much to learn from them actually. I think most lockpickers only post videos as a proof of picking or to show off their skills. There is hardly anything to learn from it, because the "action" like manipulation of the pins is hidden inside the lock. And you don't get any ideas about the tension or force used while picking, these are things you have to work out for youself...
