bump keys

Postby raimundo » 18 Aug 2006 8:21

code cut bumps usually do look a lot like the ruko in the photo, with the higher misshaped peak at the tip. I sometimes take a file and make the tip conform to the pattern of the rest of the peaks, if you have a deep pin in that position it could be stopping you from opening it. Just a thought to look into.

a code machine is best but if you have a key and a impressioning file or needle file....you can make one fairly easily....on your own at virtually no cost...

Correct.. BUT globallockytoo, you forgot to mension the cut dept.. that however depends on what brand of lock you want to bump.. do a search.. (it is in here somewhere. If not google is your friend)
You will find the correct depth.. after a couple of searches..

Cheers..
