Where to buy HPC & Peterson Pick Sets

Hi,

I am new to the forums and I have done a little bit of searching but I don't see any section of the forums dedicated to good suppliers.

I am just getting into the hobby but from what I have been reading HPC & Peterson picks are the best bang for the buck.

I am just looking for a place where I can purchase either HPC PIP13 or the Peterson Just Picks with Plastic Handles. All of the websites I have been to just sell to locksmiths which I am not. I am simply trying to get into the hobby and have been reading as much as my mind can take in

.

Any direction towards places to purchase either of these sets is greatly appreciated.

he specifically asked for a HPC PIP-13, the link I provided has one for $23

he also asked for peterson picks only, the only place to get picks only that I know of is directly at peterson.

neither place will ask if you are a locksmith.

I think I anwsered his question pretty straight forward.

ahhh, IC. No, not this time, just trying to help the poor guy out.

btw, I have the HPC PIP-13 and it is most definitely a great bang for the buck! I also have a Masters Edition of Peterson too which are IMHO PRIMO! I love the rubber gritted handles, smaller size picks, quality steel, and soft leather case. But for the price he might be better off buying just picks from Peterson. All you need is 5 picks to start with a couple of good tension tools

you can buy picks no probs. You will have to show proof for bump keys though.

Thats very true from what I hear. Somebody else said that if they still have any doubts, tell em your from LP101, and they should sell them to you. Was it zeke that said this? Im not sure, so dont quote me on it.

BTW. HPC doesn't have a website you can purchase from-- they only manufacture, they don't distribute or sell retail. Peterson does all 3.

IMHO, from all of the input I've received about HPC and Peterson, Peterson lockpicks are a much better buy. I've read and been told that HPC picks in general are medocre quality, or outright suck. Nobody has ever complained about Peterson's lockpicks (that I have read).

Peterson is definitely better then HPC pics, but HPC is better then mediocore I think. I've seen cheap spin offs of HPC like Majestic. There is a noticible difference in quality! The HPC handles at least are better made. Also noteworty, HPC has a great line of tension tools! In perticular I highly recomend their little two way rigid. It makes popping open the R70 a breeze! They have a large selection of tension tools and are priced decent. Peterson also has very nice tension tools, but are a bit pricy. The Flat Five and Three Serrated Tension Tools are among my favorites, and also their U-Bend-It assortments for quick custom tools are also very good.

Thanks for all the info. I just finished ordering the picks from Peterson but now I have to play the waiting game until they arrive.
