looks like it has sidebars and all.. that looks like one HARD lock to pick..

From what I have gathered, there are several different Ruko locks on doors. If you have the sidebar, a pickgun probably wont help you much at all, but thats just a suggestion. You may find that you can indeed use a pick gun, but I wouldn't count on it. Non-sidebar locks, you have a very good chance to open the lock with any good quality pickgun.

You could use a pickgun after drilling out the side bar....

Thats interesting - I'm dane to, and have been trying to pick Ruko locks forever.. (Ruko and medeco are almost the only type of locks in DK)
But what is that sidebar thing? is it the red line in the pic?, What does it do? - Amd how do you bypass it?

I dont have enough time to explain the side bar. But you bypass the side bar by drilling it out.

Okay - thanks anyway - but hey, whenever somebody feels like it, I would love an explanition.. Is it impossible to pick a lock with a sidebar?

No it is not impossible, but its not easy. Many sidebar locks also have other high security features. For example the Assa Desmo is not impossible to pick, no lock is, but I doubt if I will ever pick it. I am looking for a clear explination of sidebar locks for you, but I'm having an awful time locating a good picture. Imagine if you can;
The rotation of the lock is not controlled by a top/bottom pin shear line alone, but also with a sidebar mechanism (there are exceptions). The sidebar is indeed a little bar that prevents rotation. It is often located perpendicular to the pins. There are holes/cuts in the pins that when properly aliigned with the sidebar, allows it to retract into the plug, allowing for rotation.
Thats the basics, any questions, and I'd be happy to clarify.
