Seen a nice Kona bike chained around a small bollard before.

I just laughed myself silly when it became obvious you could just lift the chain over the sodding thing and get the bike free.

Had a Zone padlock on it, but was fairly robust and the chain seemd of good quality. It just made me laugh when I saw this. :P

I see terrible lock applications everyday. You always seem to see on the gate of a business a large 3/8th or 7/16th inch alloy steel shackled heavy duty padlock on a 5/16th inch thick or smaller mild steel chain!! Also I saw on the back of a work van (rear doors) a round hockey puck lock with a bolted-thru HD special hasp made for the hockey puck lock and the rear doors still had the two glass windows with no gate or anything behind the glass!!

Well i have a funny story.. well i almost shat myself.. but were working on a 6 sotry bulding.. still doing this therepist center, were drywalling 5ft cubicles and such, i went downt he elevater.. i did this twice this being the second, pushed basement instead of ground level, walked out not paying attention and BAM! bank vualt..

yea the floor level is a bank, so i almost set off an alarm from this county to the next... very bad good concidering i am responcible for false alarm costs.

Ugg. And no i didn;t have a look at the lock :!:  the thought of a 2500$ per false alarm fee is a few to many hours pay.

But still a funny story becuase i almos had a heart attack. Second time i did it to.

The security gaurd in the lobby where we carry our stuff was laughing at me.. he saw me on camera look up have a heart attack and jump back  ..
