Yes you quite right i think im getting mixed up with his explanation of seeing a keep and not saying its the full edge,

Follow as Rockford suggestes, if the keep is not a separate section then the whole edge is unscrewed,

Its so much easier when we at the job ourself isnt it lol

Strange coincidence, totaly usless info but get a call one of my regulars today saying that she can't shut her door.
Get round there, not only is it a pair of upvc french doors but it's the bloody screw on stile that has droped, thus stopping the doors from shutting.

there seems to be some confusion here guys, i think what shrub was talking about was removing the decorative FACE plate not strike plate,usually held on with 2 small setscrews, hiding the cylinder holding screw underneath (at least that's what i think he's on about)
there's no such thing as gravity.The earth SUCKS!!

Yes it was but i think as Rockford says it will be the full door jar part that may need removeing if that didnt work,
