ERA 6 pin Euro

European hardware -lever locks, profile cylinders specific for European locks. European lock picks and European locks.

ERA 6 pin Euro

Postby Marcus27 » 23 Aug 2006 8:49

Having trouble picking a 6 pin ERA euro profile keyed at both ends.
Got given the lock yesterday

I have done it once by raking but takes ages and is a bit hit and miss.
Ive just been using normal picks.

Any advice?

Many Thanks

Marcus.

do you have a working key for it..?
Nobody is perfect, locks are a "living" proof to that.
So why not just take'em down...

These Era 6 pin cylinders have 4 security driver pins that have a very heavy lip on the spool.

I must admit they are a bugger to bypass. Raking is a stroke of luck if you get it.

I bet it turns to the right at about 5 degrees a lot when a security pin hangs up when you rake.

If your new to picking you should start on somthing a bit easier but if you can pick reasonably then it shouldnt be much of a problem,

Look up on picking security pins or spool pins and you will soon get it if you can pick normal locks,
